The new Mike Tyson

The new Mike Tyson is a UFC star Anderson Silva. He is as ferocious a fighter as Mike Tyson used to be, although a different kind of striker.

Anderson da Silva, born April 14, 1975, is a Brazilian Muay Thai champion and mixed martial artist (MMA) and the current UFC middleweight champion. He is also the current Cage Rage World middleweight champion, the longest-reigning champion in that promotion. He has competed in PRIDE Fighting Championships, Shooto, and Rumble on the Rock.

He holds notable wins over Rich Franklin, Hayato Sakurai, Nathan Marquardt, Carlos Newton, Chris Leben, Travis Lutter and Jeremy Horn. It took Silva all of 2:49 to beat the hell out of Franklin in equally brutal fashion, causing the crowd to gasp, scream and roar, all at the same time. The final flurry included a knee to the face breaking Franklin’s nose, an ensuing kick and then another knee to end it.

So he might be another Mike Tyson.
